9.7-inch iPad Pro Canadian pricing and availability: starts at $799 CAD

After releasing the iPad Air 2 in 2014, and the iPad Pro in 2015, Apple has finally combined the two products into a fantastic 9.7-inch iPad Pro.

Here's what you need to know about Canadian pricing and availability for the iPad Pro 9.7.

When can I buy the iPad Pro 9.7?

The iPad Pro will be available on March 31, 2016.

It goes up for pre-order on March 24.

In what sizes is the iPad Pro 9.7 available?

The iPad Pro will be available in three sizes:

  • 32GB

Why did Apple add a new 256GB option?

During the keynote for the new iPad Pro, Apple CEO Tim Cook remarked that customers are increasingly using the iPad Pro as their main computers, and that justifies adding a larger 256GB option, for people who insist on storing large files locally.

Apple also added a 256GB option for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, which retails for a very laptop-like $1429 for the Wi-Fi model and $1629 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.

  • I saw it and said wow what a price but with the exchange rate. Another product I won't buy. I bought all iphones until the 6s because the price is just awful. Who is to blame? Not sure who but I for me to much money and nothing I really need. But we will see changes due to cheaper phones coming to the north American market.
  • I would be curious to know how many big iPad Pros they sold in Canada with that crazy price.
  • So it's over $200 more for this year's iPad than it was for last year's ($769 vs. $999 for 128GB), plus $330 more for the keyboard and pencil, plus tax, plus fees. Great! Oh, and also you need to buy a case (another hundred? two?) because if you don't, it doesn't lie flat on the table so you can't draw on it properly. What a laugh. But they are calling it a "Pro" now, so that means all is forgiven, right? It's now a "deal" because it has a new name. This is just Apple *raising* the ASP of the iPad. Strange that all I can hear is applause.
  • Welcome to marketing.
  • Nice upgrade, but way too much money. Will be the first iPad I won't be upgrading to. As much as apple wants to think it can replace the computer it's still far from that unless your a writer and read Facebook. Lol
  • Yup, Apple got aggressive with the dollar exchange on the new iPad and priced me out of the renewal game.
