An app called 'Microsoft Band Sync' was just spotted in the Apple Mac App Store and looks to be the companion app for Microsoft's rumored wearable. We're expecting Microsoft to announce some kind of wearable within the coming weeks. Forbes recently reported that the fitness-oriented band would be coming out shortly. And just last week the device appeared to have passed FCC approval.
The app spotted in the Mac App Store allows you to sync your Microsoft Band to the cloud using the same Microsoft account running on your phone companion app. The Mac App Store listing doesn't spill too much info about the wearable. Obvious features can be found like profile settings and the ability to update your firmware. The screenshots also give us our first look at the wearable.
That this app was found in the Mac App Store should be no surprise. Previous rumors suggest that this wearable will work with all major platforms. Let us know if you see the Windows or Windows Phone version of the app floating around.
What do you think of the design of the Microsoft Band? Think we'll see the Band sometime this week?
