Verizon launches its Go90 mobile video app and sharing service

As previously reported, Verizon has now launched its Go90 mobile video app and service. The free, ad-supported service is aimed at the 18-to-34-year-old market, offering them access to on-demand video from a host of cable TV and Internet content providers like Comedy Central, Food Network, ESPN, NFL Network, Discovery, AwesomenessTV, Vice, Tastemade and Machinima.

In addition to just showing videos, the Go90 app also has a number of social features:

  • Follow your favorite shows and celebrity profiles, for more time watching and less time deciding what to watch. Finally.
  • Cut and share those OMGGG moments with friends, like that catfight that just broke out on that MTV show you can't get enough of.
  • Join a Crew of like-minded fans for whatever entertainment you're into watching -- forget the haters.
  • When you can't make it, stream it. Keep up with live music & sporting events no matter where you are or where you're going.

At the moment, the Go90 app is only available in the US. Also, some of the app's content is accessible just for Verizon Wireless customers.
