TigOlBitties says:

At the risk of showing my medical ignorance, how can a small camera measure my heart rate through my finger?

Jimmy says:

It uses the same technology as a Pulse Oximeter (SpO2 meter) that is routinely used in pre-hospital EMS and Emergency Rooms all over. Here is an article on how the PulseOx works:http://www.ccmtutorials.com/rs/oxygen/page17.htm

Ken says:

There is a free app called Heart Rate- free.
it uses the camera and light and is very accurate. las time i was at the dr i used it as their machine took my pulse. both showed the same results.

Chris says:

Go to the doctor (ya know an actual human being) to get more accurate readings.

Rich Piske says:

Yeah good point Chris ..It's way easier to call the doctor's office, wait on hold for 5 minutes, get an appointment for 2 weeks down the road, take off work, GO to the appointment, sit in the waiting room for a half hour, then go sit in a tinier waiting room and wait for the nurse to bring in her stethoscope. God, what were these developers THINKING??

FFbutler says:

All you need to measure your hr is a watch fuck these useless apps.

Memcpy says:

Why not try magic heartbeat mirror? It is more advanced than this one and it is free!

Marie Baud says:

Hi,
I'm new in this website !
I don't understand how it works? Someone could explain me?
Otherrwise, I have seen a similar app: Heart Beat Rate .
This app is interesting because Health advice and regular monitoring and follow-up are proposed.
It is user friendly and magic.
See you soon
