iOS Bugs: All apps stuck on "Waiting" to install

After updating to iOS 5.0.1 via iTunes and rebooting, I found all the App Store apps installed on my iPhone were suddenly waiting to download. That's right. All of them. Just "Waiting". Unable to launch.

I tried force-quitting the App Store app. I tried rebooting. I tried resetting. I logged into and out of the App Store app. I checked if there were any iTunes Store downloads, like podcasts, that might have gotten "stuck" (there weren't). I checked if any large apps like Navigon were slowly -- very slowly -- downloading (they didn't appear to be.) I tried re-syncing with iTunes on my desktop (the apps came back, still waiting).

Caching bug in iOS 5 Safari

On some websites, like CNN shown in the video above, when I hit "back" to return to the previous page, instead of getting the previous page I get a version of the previous page that's from some time in the past, as much as a day or so. I've also had this happen on sites like Reddit. Unless Apple included highly advanced tachyon-based time travel functionality in iOS 5, there's some problem between the web server, the cache, mobile Safari, and my eyes that's conspiring to give me pages from the past.

How to put iOS 5 Newsstand into a Folder [Temporary]

While Apple's new iOS 5 Newsstand is technically a Folder, and hence can't be put into another Folder, The Coding Massacre has discovered a glitch in the Matrix that can let Newsstand haters banish it into another Folder... at least temporarily.

Basically, you create a new Folder and in the first few seconds, while iOS is getting its act together, you jam Newsstand in there before it can stop you. However, if you launch Newsstand, it will come screaming back out at you.

So file this under temporary work around if you hate the look of Newsstand so much, even a short break

Poll: How's your battery life with iOS 5?

<

div class="spaceleft">

How's your battery life on iOS 5?It seems like every time Apple introduces a new version of iOS, some people get slightly better battery life, most people stay about the same, and a ridiculous number flood our contacts, comments, and forums saying it's their worst battery life EVER.

Vote in the poll up top and then give us the great -- or gory -- details in the comments below. If you are having problems, let us know how you've tried to trouble shoot: clean install (not from backup), remove and re-add push accounts, delete and re-download notification and location happy apps, turn off Ping (always a good idea), turn of location Reminders, restart a lot -- what's worked and what hasn't?
