AMC app arrives on the Apple TV; offers free streaming of select episodes

AMC has launched an official app for the Apple TV. With the app, you can watch episodes of Better Call Saul, The Walking Dead, and more on demand. You will need to log in with your cable account in order to watch most full episodes, though in some cases, particularly with Fear the Walking Dead and The Night Manager, you can watch certain episodes for free.
You can track which episodes you've already watched, and pick up where you left off. Full episodes will be available during the season in which they air, while AMC says that the extra features, including behind-the-scenes clips and interviews, will always be available.
You can download the AMC app for Apple TV for free from the set-top box's App Store.

And you see all the negative reviews. They don't let you have access to any back catalogue episodes. Given that ALL other networks give access to the back catalogue makes AMC look foolish IMO. Sent from the iMore App

Agreed.

Pathetic. I understand that they have older seasons on sale for VOD and DVD, so it's understandable, but since the current seasons are still running, you'd think the current subscribers could get access to them until the season ends (or at least until the season comes out on DVD)

To be fair, most of their past seasons are on Netflix. Fear the Walking Dead is on Hulu Sent from the iMore App

That's not really true. Many apps on the Appletv have limited episodes, Lifetime, FYI, A&E, USA, NAT GEO, etc.
Yes it's frustrating, but not to extremely different from all the others. Sent from the iMore App -
Soooo...... When can we see a similar app for Xbox One? --a platform that has been around for two years longer than the new Apple TV? >=[
Trying to watch recent episodes via the Edge browser is a hit-and-miss affair, and frustrating given that there is pretty much an app available for every other major network. -
Yet live streaming is still tied to their terrible website... Sent from the iMore App
