How to customize workouts in the Workout app for Apple Watch

By default, your Apple Watch will show you some different metrics during a workout. Things like duration, heart rate, distance, calories burned, and more, can all be displayed during a workout. You if want to change what metrics you see during your workouts, you can head over to the Apple Watch app on your iPhone and customize it to your liking.

  • Hi Joseph. Stumbled on this site while looking for Apple Watch info. Absolutely love this site! I’m such an Apple fan! I’m not sure if this comment section is for questions but I’ll give it a try I’m still confused about something. Does Exercise minutes get updated from data uploaded by a 3rd party app that updates workouts. I can’t seem to get a straight answer on this. It doesn’t look like it does. Example: Go for a walk using Intervals app on my Apple Watch. It updates Workout with 25 minutes but my exercise only shows 20. I guess Watch is measuring “exercise” at the same time Intervals is tracking workout. Any way to get these in sync. Thanks. I look forward to ready more articles! Cheers.
