If you somehow miss, dismiss, or don't get the notification when a Digital Touch comes in, don't worry. Your Apple Watch saves them and will show when you have Digital Touches you haven't seen. Think of it like the indicator on an unread mail message, just for the Friend's interface. And they're easy to see... once you know where to look!
How to tell who you have unseen Digital Touches from on Apple Watch
- Press the side button on your Apple Watch to bring up the Friends section.
- Look for a blue dot to indicate any unread digital touches.
- Use the Digital Crown to select the friend you have an unread Digital Touch from.
- Tap on the Digital Touch button and any unread touches will begin playing.

Hope I get to try this out tomorrow when I get my watch.
I can't wait until I get my wife her watch, too. I'm going to drive her crazy with Digital Touch. ;-)
Not sure if covered elsewhere already but for anyone wanting to try Digital Touch but who don't have other friends with watches yet - Set yourself up as one of your own friends on the watch (assuming you have your number/email stored in your contacts eg for in-case-of-emergency purposes).
You can then use the side button, tap on your icon and send yourself drawings, taps & heart-rate. Not that you'd want to make a habit of it, but at least you can get a feel for what it's like while waiting for your friends & family to take delivery of their watches.
