Sanjay Kaul will lead Apple's operations in India

Apple has crossed $1 billion in revenue from India recently, and has seen sales shoot up 56% in Q1 2016. While the company has a vision for the Indian market, it has been on the lookout for a country head following the departure of Maneesh Dhir earlier this year. That search has come to an end, as Sanjay Kaul will lead the way for Apple in India.
Before being promoted to the position of country head, Kaul served as the country sales director for the vendor. Kaul joined Apple in 2011 as head of the iPhone business in India, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to Apple, the executive served as senior director for channel sales at BlackBerry's Indian unit.
This year could prove pivotal for Apple in India as it tries to significantly expand its presence in the country, starting with the introduction of its retail stores.
