Tim Cook named one of TIME's 100 most influential people

In TIME's entry on Cook, written by Congressman John Lewis, Apple's CEO is praised not only for his ability to keep the company profitable, but doing so while looking at the larger picture of the world in which the company exists. In particular, Lewis focused on Cook's promotion of LGBT rights, as well as Apple's use of renewable energy sources. From TIME:
Tim is unwavering in his support of an individual's right to privacy and is not only embracing equality and LGBT rights but advocating for change through his words and actions. His commitment to renewable energy is also leaving our planet a little cleaner and a little greener for generations yet unborn.
Cook is joined on the list this year by other tech leaders such as Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, as well as Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky. Chesky's entry was acutally written for Time by Apple design chief Jony Ive. Earlier this year, Cook was named by Fortune as one of the worlds greatest leaders.
