MacBreak Weekly 305: Buy it in Protest

I had the pleasure of joining Leo Laporte, Andy Ihnatko, and Mac OS Ken on MacBreak Weekly today. Leo and the TWiT network are the pioneers of internet radio and television, and MacBreak Weekly and Mac OS Ken are both seminal works in the Apple community, so it was great to be able to sit in on the discussions.

Topics included the new iPhone connector, the smaller iPad, and those poor Apple Store employees.

(And thanks as well to Chad for making my MBW debut as gentle as possible.)

Rene you held your own man! I was proud of you. Nice panel mix with MacOSKen there as well. I hope they invite you back because you displayed well informed knowledge. See ya on the next show.

Congrats, Rene. I've been following iMore and MBW for years. Good to see you with God of Podcasting Leo.

Great job, Rene! I also saw you on TNT. Leo has good broad knowledge of the tech industry, but he can sometimes stray on the details. It's good to have someone like you for him to use as a reference source. He's pretty good about asking when he doesn't really know something.
I'm glad you guys talked about the possibility of a 7" iOS device. I tend to agree with Andy and Ken in thinking that Apple will put it in the iPod touch family. The iPad already has two models, it's time for a 2nd iPod touch model. But mainly I just can't see some of the iPad-optimized apps fitting well on a screen half the size.

Excellent job on the show Rene! Really enjoyed your delivery and your perspective! I have been a long time listener to MacBreak and I will now be a long time reader of iMore! Wonderful job once again, and keep up the great work!
