Stories and photo filters land on Google+ update

Google+ gets an update to bring Stories, filters, and creative tools to iOS users.

Google has just published an update to the Google+ app on iOS that brings a better photos and sharing experience. New to the Google+ app are features that include Stories and photo filters, features that were recently made available on the Android app update.

The new Google+ improved photo experience comes on the heels of Apple's WWDC announcement of a new iOS 8 Photos app experience.

The update brings the app version to 4.7.0.

According to the iTunes page, Google+ Stories will combine your photos, videos and places into beautiful trip summaries. There will be a new photo editor that includes filters and creative fools. And with the new Google+ app, you will be able to "view total content views on profiles."

The app is available as a free download or update for iPhone and iPad users.

This looks great. Too bad Google + is still bearing the brunt of a latecomer in the social networking field - Facebook and Instagram is where everyone still residing.
