The Embrace+ smart notification bracelet arrives on Kickstarter, colored alerts for your iPhone

There has been a lot of chatter recently about smart watches that have the ability to alert you graphically and audibly but this Kickstarter project wants to put a slightly different spin on that theme. The Embrace+ is not as smart as a smart watch as it doesn't have any display but what it does offer is colored notifications.

Apple updates its iPad 2 Smart Covers, kills off the orange one

Apple has updated its iPad 2 line of Smart Covers, killing off the orange polyurethane version and replacing it with a much more tasteful dark gray version. It has also improved the other colors in the polyurethane range, which it claims are now more vibrant -- they all now come with a color matched microfiber lining too. The leather versions haven't been changed except with the addition of the color matched microfiber lining.

The Smart Covers are available in the Apple Store and are still priced at $39 for the Polyurethane model and $69 for the Leather version.

Apple releases Final Cut Pro X, Motion, Compressor on Mac App Store

Not strictly iPhone or iPad news, but Apple today released a huge upgrade to their pro video editing tools with Final Cut Pro X, Motion, and Compressor, which will be available for $299, $49, and $49 respectively on the Mac App Store.

“Final Cut Pro X is the biggest advance in Pro video editing since the original Final Cut Pro,” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing. “We have shown it to many of the world’s best Pro editors, and their jaws have dropped.”

While we're still waiting on the white iPhone 4, and avoiding the annual holiday (PRODUCT) red iPhone rumors, we got to wondering -- if Apple did produce multi-color, "nanochromatic" versions of iPhone, which color would you buy?

Would you stick with black or would you crazy with color? Would you prefer Apple back the color into the iPhone or do you prefer being able to get different colored cases to switch things up all on your own?
