iPod nano photo gallery

Apple calls the iPod nano 7 "renanoed", and if you look at the longer, thinner shape, and the wider screen, it's harder to argue the logic than it is the ad copy. It still isn't running iOS, and Apple has rounded the icons to better visually differentiate it from it's bigger, more computer-like cousins, but it does include apps. And buttons. There's a Home button now, also similar to iOS, and a volume rocker with a pause/play control in between. It also has the new Lightning connector, which is why it can be so thin.

Apple airs new iPod ad, Bounce

Apple has aired new iPod ad to coincide with the release of the new iPods called Bounce -- and boy is this a fun ad! It starts out with a new blue iPod touch and a finger that hits play for the song Yeah Yeah by Willy Moon. The iPod then starts bouncing to the beat, changing colors, and eventually splitting into iPod nanos who then split into iPod shuffles. All the colors are represented and it's like one big iPod dance party. Super fun!

Siri gets cozy with the iPod touch

The new iPod touch devices announced today at Apple's event will be able to run Siri. The voice-activated virtual assistant has been gradually creeping its way into Apple's other products, and it's good to see it landing on the iPhone's little brother. All of the usual tasks, like launching into web searches, controlling music, opening apps, and checking the weather and sports scores are included.

Early iPod touch buyers invited to join class-action antitrust suit against Apple

Anyone in the U.S. who bought a first or second-gen iPod touch between September 12, 2007 and and March 31, 2009 are eligible to get in on an antitrust lawsuit against Apple. The two complaints state that Apple broke federal and state laws by charging for iOS updates and prevented iPods from playing anything that wasn't bought through iTunes.

Ringtonium review: The best ringtone creation app for iPhone

Ringtonium is simple and easy to use, and best of all saves you money by letting you use your already purchased songs as ringtones.

Ringtonium is the best app for creating custom ringtones -- and alert tones -- on your iPhone. While record labels are happy to resell you ringtones for the same tracks you've already bought -- often at the same or even higher prices than the full song! -- if you don't mind a few quick steps, you can save some money and get exactly the ringtone you want, exactly the way you want it.

Hands on with Polk Audio UltraFit sports headphones -- and a trampoline

With their new UltraFit line of sports headphones for iPhone, iPad, iPod and other devices, Polk Audio is really putting their money where their mouth is when it comes to their SecureFit, "stays in place" promise. Rather, they're putting Olympic-calibur athletes on a trampoline smack-dab in the middle of Macworld 2012.

Daily Tip: How to set your iPhone or iPad calendar entries for different time zones

Taking a trip and curious how to set your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad

The calendar app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch allows you to change the time zone for any event or meeting with just a few taps. Instead of trying to add and subtract time from your own time zone, just set those specific events or meetings for the time zone they're going to occur in.

Calendar will use whatever time zone your clock settings are set to by default. While this is fine in most scenarios, you also have the option of setting time zones on individual entries.
