Spotify for iPhone review: Finally, some progress!

I have an ongoing love hate relationship with pretty much every music streaming service available. I just want them to be better as none of them as a whole are the best. That's why I was excited when Spotify majorly overhauled their iPhone app. It was a chance to try the service out again and see if the glaring issues that push me on the Rdio side of the fence are finally remedied. Is it good enough for me to give it a second chance? More importantly, is it good enough for you, our readers, to choose it over the many available options? Let's find out...

Why I'm ditching Beats Music and going back to Rdio

When I did my initial Beats Music review back in January, I found the service to be so good I was almost certain I'd switch from Rdio and leave it behind. I did just that and for almost three months, I only used Beats Music on my iPhone, the web, and through Sonos. Unfortunately, small issues turned into much bigger ones that, ultimately, have led me to cancel my subscription. Here's why...

Spotify vs Beats Music vs Slacker vs Rdio vs Google Play Music: On-demand streaming music service showdown!

On-demand music streaming services are made for the hardcore music lovers and audiophiles. Not only should they get to know our tastes and preferences over time, on-demand services are also tasked with letting us have more control over what we listen to, when we listen to it. Streaming radio may be fine for some but if you want to listen to an entire album all the way through or be able to play music offline, you want on-demand streaming.

Spotify, Rdio, Beats Music, Google Play All Access, and Slacker are the best on-demand services currently available with full iPhone support. Now the question becomes, which one is the best if any? And more importantly, which one is right for you?

Why iTunes Radio is not a replacement for services like Rdio, Spotify, and Beats Music

I recently reviewed Beats Music and the feedback made me realize that a lot of people are confused about the differences between it, similar services like Spotify and Rdio, and iTunes Radio. They're really not the same, and it really matters. Here's why!

How to personalize your listening experience with iTunes Radio

iTunes Radio is a great way to discover and enjoy music on the go with iPhone and iPad, or when you're in the office using iTunes. Even though you can always choose from featured stations that are constantly changing, it's always more fun to create your own stations. While how to create a station in iTunes Radio is obvious, a lot of people don't realize you can further personalize stations to suit your exact tastes and listening preferences. Here's how:

Beats Music review: So good I may finally ditch Rdio!

Now that Beats Music is finally available, it has a lot of folks wondering how it stacks up to the likes of existing services and whether it's worth making the switch. I've been taking a look at what Beats Music has to offer for the exact same reason. I've completely set aside my main streaming services, Rdio and Songza, in order to give it a fair chance. And after a few days, my decision has become harder than ever.
