Best iPhone 5 PAYG nano-SIM options when traveling to the United States

If you have an iPhone 5, or any other unlocked iPhone for that matter, and plan on traveling to the United States, you may want to save yourself the hefty fees that come with roaming, and get a local, pre-paid or Pay As You Go SIM-card for your service. EE (T-Mobile & Orange) announce iPhone 5 pricing and new data plans

Pre-orders are now open at EE UK for the iPhone 5 and as well as giving you the ability to get your order in quick I am pleased to say they have some new data packages to cope with the ever evolving cloud options that us smartphone users now get. Users will also have the option to switch over to the 4G service once it goes live here in the UK. As you would imagine prices of Apples new iPhone are pretty steep but EE have some nice options depending on which model and which data allowance you will require. The following information I have acquired from the Orange website, however T-Mobile do have some slight alternatives.

T-Mobile USA, which looks like it'll once again be the only major American carrier left without the iPhone on September 12, is trying to turn lemons into magenta-colored lemonade with an amped up unlimited and unlocked program for "bring your own iPhone" offers. Suzanne Lowry of T-Mobile's blog went over the highlights:

On September 21, T-Mobile USA may try to convince you NOT to buy the iPhone 5

T-Mobile may not be getting the iPhone 5 this year, making them once again the only major US carrier bereft of Apple's multi-million selling mobile device, and if they can't have it, dammit, they're going to make sure you don't have one either.

T-Mobile makes their iPhone-friendly 3G network just big enough... to fit WWDC inside!

Clever girl. They're expanding their iPhone-friendly 3G HSPA+ network (or 4G, as they like to call it) to cover Moscone Center West, just precisely the location of Apple's 2012 World Wide Developers Conference (WWDC) next week.

T-Mobile welcomes unlocked AT&T iPhone owners with cheap family plans

Though T-Mobile remains the only major carrier in the US without an official iPhone in their lineup, now that AT&T is officially unlocking eligible, off-contract iPhones, T-Mobile is welcoming them with open arms -- and cheap family plans. T-Mobile already had over 1 million unofficially unlocked iPhones on their network, and now that people can run iPhones without having to worry about jailbreak and software updates, it looks like they expect those numbers to rise.

T-Mobile sees Q4 slump, blames everyone else having an iPhone 4S

T-Mobile had a rough final quarter of 2011, and openly pointed the finger at iPhone 4S launches on AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon as the cause.
