Samsung confirms that it is also working on a smart watch to rival the rumored iWatch

It should come as no real surprise to be honest that Samsung has let it be known that it is currently working on a smart watch and has been for some time now. The news comes from Bloomberg who spoke with Samsung’s executive vice president Lee Young Hee.

Apple rumored to have a team of over 100 designers already working on the iWatch

The rumors surrounding a possible iWatch are starting to hit fever pitch. Earlier in the week, The Wall Street Journal and the New York Times claimed to have knowledge of its existence and now Bloomberg has added to those rumors. According to “two people familiar with the company’s plans”, Apple has a team of over 100 designers working on the device.

Pebble E-Paper watch to start shipping later this month

The Pebble E-Paper watch will start shipping on January 23 for those that were part of its phenomenal Kickstarter success. Pebble made the announcement at its CES 2013 press event where it also confirmed that the Pebble would have a magnetic charging port, magnetometer and ambient light sensors.

Apple iWatch rumors surface again, this time with Intel attached

The Apple iWatch smartwatch is the subject of renewed rumor and speculation this morning, with Intel of all companies now being attached to the project. Low power Bluetooth 4.0 is along for the ride as well, of course, so it can instantly pair with an iPhone or iPad, as well as a 1.5-inch display, and a supposed release window pegged at the first half of 2013. Motorola announces the MOTOACTV, looks like an iPod nano watch

Motorola has announced that it will soon be releasing a watch that looks very similar to an iPod Nano. The MOTOACTV comes out of the box as a watch so you don't need the accessory strap like you would with an iPod nano.

It is 46mm square and powered by Android. It features a GPS system, heart rate monitor and wait for it.... Bluetooth so you can use it with wireless headphones; of course it is an MP3 player too. It can also pair with your phone and you can then read text messages and other alerts as well as answer calls using the 1.6-inch touchscreen.
