  • For some reason either the app store or my iPhone is lying to me. I was attempting to download Dream:Scape the other day and it said it was 400mb or something and my iPhone said I had 1.2gb available. However, when I tried to install it my phone said not enough space available.
  • Often apps I download are like 200mb when you look at the ipa on the computer but when you go to install it in iTunes they show as sometimes double that.
  • Let's Golf 2 is 305mb but iTunes shows it as 555.6mb so I can only assume it is because they are essentialy zip files so iTunes shows them uncompressed.
  • If you've jailbroken your phone - this number will be off by roughly 1-2GB - Cydia partitions your iOS device to store the information, programs and other stuff, and iOS doesn't see this as "used" space, rather as "empty" space..
