Misfit partners with Beddit to help you get a better night's sleep

Misfit has announced their latest partnership, this time with Beddit, that will offer folks a way to monitor themselves while sleeping at night with the Misfit Beddit Sleep System

The partnership will include the Beddit Sleep Monitor, a strip that's been designed to be placed on the mattress and under the sheets of a customer's bed. Misfit combines the device with its app made for the iPhone and iPad. It states:

Now you can get an accurate picture of your nightly sleep patterns without having to wear anything. Using the world's thinnest sleep sensor, the Misft Beddit Sleep System seamlessly measures your sleep cycles and quality using heart rate, respiration, movement, snoring, and sound.

The app takes in all that data and shows it to the user, presumably when he or she wakes up in the morning. The app also keeps track of daily and weekly sleep trends. The Beddit Sleep Monitor, which come in either black or white, is now on sale for $149.99. While the app is just for iOS devices at the moment, an Android version is supposed to be "coming soon".

What do you think of this rather different connected technology product and partnership?
