How do you get the Kanto Medal in Pokémon Go?

Kanto is the name of the region in Gen I and the location of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue. The Kanto Medal represents all the Pokémon from Kanto that you've added to your Pokédex.

  • Bronze: Register five Pokémon from the Kanto region
  • Silver: Register 50 Pokémon from the Kanto region
  • Gold: Register 100 Pokémon from the Kanto region
  • Platinum: Register all 151 Pokémon from the Kanto region

Additionally, the Bronze Kanto Medal unlocks the following avatar style items:

  • FireRed Backpack
  • FireRed Wristbands
  • FireRed Cap
  • FireRed Pants
  • FireRed Top
  • FireRed Shoes

How do you get the Johto Medal in Pokémon Go?

Johto is the name of the region in Gen II and the location of Pokémon Silver and Pokémon Gold. The Johto Medal, like the Kanto Medal before it, represents how many of the Gen II species you've added to your Pokédex.

  • Bronze: Register five Pokémon from the Johto region
  • Silver: Register 30 Pokémon from the Johto region
  • Gold: Register 70 Pokémon from the Johto region
  • Platinum: Register all 100 Pokémon from the Johto region

As with the Bronze Kanto Medal, the Bronze Johto Medal unlocks the following avatar style items:

  • Johto Bag
  • Johto Cap
  • Johto Pants
  • Johto Top
  • Johto Shoes

How do you get the Hoenn Medal in Pokémon Go?

The Hoenn Medal is for catching Gen III Pokémon initially featured in Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire.

  • Bronze: Register 5 Pokémon from the Hoenn region
  • Silver: Register 40 Pokémon from the Hoenn region
  • Gold: Register 90 Pokémon from the Hoenn region
  • Platinum: Register all 135 Pokémon from the Hoenn region

So far, the only reward for the Hoenn Medal is bragging right (and XP!) Also, because there is still one Hoenn region Pokémon (Kecleon) that hasn't been released, you cannot technically earn the Platinum Hoenn Medal yet.

How do you get the Sinnoh Medal in Pokémon Go?

Like the previous region Medals, the Sinnoh Medal is earned by catching Gen VI Pokémon originally encountered in Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.

  • Bronze: Register five Pokémon from the Sinnoh region
  • Silver: Register 30 Pokémon from the Sinnoh region
  • Gold: Register 80 Pokémon from the Sinnoh region
  • Platinum: Register all 107 Pokémon from the Sinnoh region

With three Sinnoh region Pokémon (Manaphy, Phione, and Arceus) still unreleased, you cannot technically earn the Platinum Sinnoh Medal yet.

How do you get the Unova Medal in Pokémon Go?

Like the previous region Medals, the Unova Medal is earned by catching Gen V Pokémon originally encountered in Pokémon Black and Pokémon White.

  • Bronze: Register five Pokémon from the Unova region
  • Silver: Register 50 Pokémon from the Unova region
  • Gold: Register 100 Pokémon from the Unova region
  • Platinum: Register all 156 Pokémon from the Unova region

There are currently five unreleased Unovan Pokémon (Zorua, Zoroark, Larvestra, Volcarona, and Keldeo) so you cannot earn the Platinum Unova Medal yet.

How do you get the Kalos Medal in Pokémon Go?

Another region based Medal, the Kalos Medal is earned by catching Pokémon from Gen VI originally introduced in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

  • Bronze: Register five Pokémon from the Kalos region
  • Silver: Register 25 Pokémon from the Kalos region
  • Gold: Register 50 Pokémon from the Kalos region
  • Platinum: Register all 72 Pokémon from the Kalos region

How do you get the Alola Medal in Pokémon Go?

Another region based Medal, the Alola Medal is earned by catching Pokémon from Gen VII originally introduced in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon.

  • Bronze: Register five Pokémon from the Alola region
  • Silver: Register 25 Pokémon from the Alola region
  • Gold: Register 50 Pokémon from the Alola region
  • Platinum: Register all 86 Pokémon from the Alola region

How do you get the Galar Medal in Pokémon Go?

Another region based Medal, the Galar Medal is earned by catching Pokémon from Gen VIII originally introduced in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.

  • Silver: Register 25 Pokémon from the Galar region
  • Gold: Register 50 Pokémon from the Galar region
