i HATE Panorama!! I really don't like the way it leaves the remains of the previous picture the YOU have to line up yourself! Pfff!! i get apps so i don't have to do extra work!! please get/review AutoStitch instead! the pics you get from it are a little choppy around the edges, but Photogene can crop it for ya! AutoStich is AWESOME!!!

The OnOne Camera Remote app is, simply, amazing. I have a Canon DSLR that doesn't autofocus in LiveView mode (camera limitation, not software), but every other feature is, well, perfect. Wireless remote? Check. Intervalometer (fire every x seconds, if you were wondering)? Check. Review without going to the computer? Check. Create second copy for Lightroom import and review on iPhone/iPod touch? Check. I love it and use it regularly. It gets me (the photog) into more family portraits.

Autostitch is far more useful and much less expensive than panorama, since you can do multi row panoramas and I believe it only costs a buck or two.

Otherwise this is a very good top 5. Tiltshift Generator and Photogene have some of the slickest, easiest to use user interfaces on the iPhone.

Kinda sad we have to pay extra for apps that do what the iPhone camera should already do. I hope apple steps up their game with the 4th generation iPhone.

Photoshop Mobile is a great editing app, especially for it's price! It was actually a difficult decision not to include it in this list. You can do much more with Photogene though and is definitely a better app. But I do think PS Mobile is one of the best free editing apps.

How does the Photoshop app for iPhone stack up to these?

And while it may be kinda nifty to do so, it seems like stitching together panoramas on the iPhone is a rather poor choice of platform.

I have Color Splash & Photogene and enjoy them both. Panorama looks nice but I'm not sure stitching together photos is worth $10. Is it REALLY worth it?
