Keynote, Numbers, Pages updated for iPad

Apple has released version 1.2 updates for their iWork touch suite -- Keynote, Numbers, and Pages for iPad. Microsoft Office export and MobileMe iDisk compatibility headline the new features. No word on AirPrint, of course, but knowing Apple they'll only pull that trigger once iOS 4.2 goes into general release and not a millisecond sooner (though we'd dearly love to be proven wrong on that).
For the full list, follow on after the break.

As far as I can tell air printing has not been enabled in the update. I was hoping to try it out with 4.2
AWESOME
This is great but I really need a review from someone about what does and does not translate back and forth b/w each of these and MS Office. Formating and feature loss has kept me from buying these.
Wanted: "track changes" in Pages.
Does pages allow you to save a document to your ipad and then upload it to another website? Like uploading your resume to a job site?
@David
That is the top feature I need. Unfortunately I think we are a ways away from seeing it. That will probably come to Office HD first.
So the "copying" to and from iDisk works well.
They're probably scared because teh Google is finally going to enable editing Google Docs on the iPad, or they should be. All the standalone office apps are going to take a serious hurting. The cloud is the future, especially for tablets and smart phones.
Still no way to hyperlink to another slide in Keynote though which is a pretty glaring omission..
Google docs isn't gonna be that big a deal unless they support offline editing, you can't have access to the Internet everywhere. Also, webDav include Dropbox? That's what I really want, not gonna pay $100/year for MM. Only compelling feature on that is find my iPhone. Also, does anyone else find it funny that Pages for iPad can do columns but Pages for Mac doesn't? I sure hope they update both more, especially w/Office 2011 right around the corner with some really compelling features.
Please bring a version for iPhone 4
Pages for Mac has columns and has for years. It's right in the Format Bar.
I like that iWork stores my files locally and I specifically send the files when I am ready. I don't want to use my 3G bandwidth for constant syncing. Especially since iWork let's me easy create documents with lots of media (photos/movies).
Where is the iPhone support, they know we'd buy it why not make it
@usmc I second that bring it to iPhone and iPod, with the 4.2 update.
@usmc, tis yep, I third it. @Mike - oh...shuffles out sheepishly
Still no way of sorting columns in numbers! Pretty essential feature in schools. Other features excellent though!
Finally Export to MS Excel and MS Power Point in Numbers and Keynote! This was a no go for me until now! iDisk support is good, but should have been there before! I guess we will never see support for Dropbox.
Keynote still doesn't loop presentations, serious ommission!
@WOLF Actually, sorting is in iPad Numbers by selecting a column (tap into a table, then tap the gray bar that appears across the top of the table) and then tapping the blue bar to get the cut/copy menu with 'sort' tacked on the end.
Agree with @webmannie looping would be nice, especially for a kiosk, but not sure when I would use it.
When can we expect to use google docs ??
PS - VGA output for Pages ? - Mirror imaging VGA output ?
These upgrades are very nice, but the Keynote upgrade is missing a VERY MAJOR component. It still doesn't allow hypertext linking within a keynote presentation to other slides.
I use Keynote to show my portfolio interactively, but it is very difficult to go directly to where people want to view because I keep having to open the slides to do that. It would be easier if I could create a menu with hyperlinks like I do with Keynote on my iMac and Powerbook.
So Apple, if your out there listening. Please, please, please make that adjustment. It would be a huge improvement.
I completely agree with the complaints about NO HYPERLINKING. Hyperlinking is key to handing someone an ipad with your preso and letting them drive around. With hyperlinking it could work like a kiosk. HYPERLINKING is a MUST HAVE!
