Daily Tip: How to manage iTunes Music in the Cloud on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch
If you are a user of iTunes in the Cloud and only keep part of your music collection on your iOS device and all of your collection in iCloud, you may want to retrieve some extra music from iCloud or even delete some music on your device. It is all very simple to do, keep on reading and we will show you how.
How to Download Music from iCloud
- Open up your Music app
- You will see the complete list of music that is available in iCloud. If the track or album shows a cloud icon next to it, this means it is not on your device but is on iCloud
- To download the music from iCloud, select one of the tracks or albums with the iCloud icon
- You will now see the tracks with individual iCloud download labels, clicking on one will download just that track to your device
- If you want to download a whole album, scroll down and you will see a Download All button. Click on that and all the tracks will download to your device
- When it’s finished downloading, you will see that track or album no longer has the cloud icon as it is now on your device and it can be played instantly
How to delete music from device and leave it on iCloud
- Open up your Music app
- You will see the complete list of music that is available in iCloud. If the track or album shows a cloud icon next to it, this means it is not on your device but is on iCloud
- If it doesn't have a cloud icon, it means the track is stored on your device
- To remove the track or album from your device and leave it in iCloud simply swipe right to left along the album or track
- A delete box will appear, click on it and you will see the cloud icon immediatey appear next to the track or album
- This means the album is no longer stored on your device but is available to download again from iCloud.

Match has came along way since beta but still has bugs. Here is a issue I ran into the other day; I ripped a music CD into my iTunes library at which point it was matched. Here is the problem, it matched the edited version of the CD I ripped and I have found no way for it to match the correct version
I have a question, how do you download everything from the cloud all in one go?
I don't believe that is possible. Anyway, if you have a significant number of songs on iCloud, they probably wouldn't all fit on your iOS device.
Create a smart playlist that contains all your music. On the device scroll to the bottom of the playlist and click download all
You have to select everything, right click the selection and then select download on the drop-down menu.

Match is cool(I use it on my iPad and Apple TV, but not on my iPhone, as I prefer my whole music library to be local, on my primary device). There are a few minor(but irritating) issues with iTunes Match though, namely artwork. The artwork in your library, should be given priority over the artwork in iCloud(if different).
I'm using match because I have 3 iPhones and an iPad. Match makes my 4000 song collection available to all devices. If my neicescwantbtomlisten to ant of my songs 1. They done have to store it on their iPhone 2. They can d/l what they want to listen to when not on wifi.
I upload to match no problem however there is one album that is annoying me, I have playlists set up like so
Album Name CD 1 CD 2
I organise as such for all albums.
Now when I upload this album match decides to split the album where CD 1 & 2 are together BUT also as a separate album where CD 1 is on it's own!!!
how can I stop this?!?!
RWC2011 works for me with iOS 5. Only thing that makes it crash tghouh is if I click on the tournament icon at the bottom of the app. Everything else works fine.@

What about for the folks, like me, who have thousands of tracks loaded to the cloud? Is there a way to search for only those songs that are local on the device?
So far I love match, except for this one weird situation that I'm running into. I wanted to remove all of the music stored locally on my iPhone, which I did by going into the Music app on the phone and anything that didn't have a cloud icon I swiped and then "deleted".
Now, here's the problem...when I plug my phone into my laptop and it comes up on the left side of iTunes, and I then click on either the music or purchased option underneath my phone, there are songs showing up that I can't get rid of. I've tried highlighting them and hitting delete, it does nothing....I've tried right clicking and hitting delete, nothing.
I don't think there' still on my actual phone, but now I have no clue and it's just very annoying. Any thoughts, tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have items that did not get matched to the cloud, so they are only on my iTunes locally. If I choose to add these items to any device, the device has to be removed from iCloud and all of the music from it is removed as well. So I can not have music from icloud and the local iTunes at the same time. Boo!
Now let's get apple to explain how to correct matches errors, like automatically switching unedited tracks to edited versions!
I just want to be able to stream my music from the cloud. I like iTunes mach and iCloud but really having to DL all the tracks that I want to play is a pain. Streaming FTW
