Sometimes I have found the only time you need a backup is the only time you find you don't have one ! With 50gb you will always be able to restore yourself out of any pickle !

This type of service would be very nice for someone who is always on the go to stream whatever they need at any given time, provided their connection isn't lost to the nature of the beast. Videos, audio books, something that's dropped onto the computer, the possibilities are endless!

As the founder of the world's first public on-line backup service (in 1996) and founder of the first (only?) OLB provider to list on the LSE, I am always interested in new approaches/improvements to this vital element of data integrity. What I like about SOS is the integration with the new wave created by the iFamily and the use of iCloud. With my background I am obsessive about backups but, to date, my iPad and iPhone backups have relied on a local connection (my iTunes stuff is copied to a remote NAS but only after a synch). Getting peace of mind that stuff created on the move will be backed up immediately (as with desktop creations) is a must-have in today's data-centric and fast moving world.
