Lol! Hope they do announce a refresh. Think the Mac Mini could be a modular MacPro. Use it for the brains, if Pros want more powah, then make a modular case that allows it to tap into more RAM and discrete graphics using Thunderbolt ports. For most people who just need a fancy desktop rig, the Mac Mini could be more than enough in some cases. I like using my UltraWide monitor with little clutter on my desk, and the Mac Mini is the only desktop that really allows that, but its too under powered right now.

Hey guys, I just thought I'd throw this out there: I repurposed my Mini, and now it's a part of my entertainment center. I do everything on my MBP nowadays, so my Mini just kind of sat for awhile. It has an i5, 8gb ram, 128gb SSD. I discovered a project called OpenEMU that has an iTunes style interface and emulates practically every console we all know and love from PS1 back to the Atari 2600. Of the small mountain of systems I have ran on it, it's as close to perfect as an emulator will probably ever be. I combine that with an article I read right here on iMore about using an Xbox360 controller and voila. It's very enjoyable if you're an retro gaming nerd like myself, so now my Mini has some new life :)
