Drake's Apple Music-exclusive album Views tops 250 million streams in the first week

Drake's latest album Views, which happens to be an Apple Music-exclusive has been doing extremely well. Republic Records has confirmed that in the first week the album was streamed more than 250 million times worldwide. These numbers are especially astonishing when you consider that Apple has last reported having around 13 million paying Apple Music subscribers.

From The Verge:

In a press release, Republic Records confirmed that the album has been streamed over 250 million times worldwide since its release last Thursday, an astounding figure when you consider the fact that Views remains an Apple Music exclusive. (A point of comparison: last fall, Justin Bieber's Purpose was streamed 205 million times worldwide in its first week of release, and it was available on all major streaming services.)

While people have their own opinions about exclusives, and if they work out or not, this decision seems to be doing just fine for Drake. The album will be making its way to other streaming platforms beginning on May 13.
