Massive EA iPhone games sale - $0.99 for 48 hours

Don't want to pay a lot for those EA (Electronic Arts) iPhone and iPad games? Well, you're in luck - a ton of them are on sale today for just $0.99. Not every game, mind you, but a lot. Here's the list:

  • The post date of the article on the EA site states "June 10". It's not fine print- it's right near the top of the page.
  • that sale stuff is recent, their twitter post from 14 hours ago declared the sale.
  • I went to buy The Sims 3 and it showed $6.99, but NFS, Sim City, and C&C all showed up for $0.99
  • There are still some $.99 apps but I'm certain that the sale is over.

  • Are these on sale becuase they will not be updated for iOS 4 (hi res graphics, etc...) and thus outdated very soon?
  • I guess I meant that they wont be updated for the iPhone 4's higher res screen vs updated for IOS 4.
