Three apps to keep your brain from turning into meme mush

Much as I would like to pretend that I have all the time in the world to keep my grey matter working at a collegiate level, that's not true. We all have jobs. Errands. Hobbies. I've made peace with the fact that I'll never crack open that 1200-page "Master Your French" textbook sitting on my bookshelf or drop thousands of dollars on graduate studies; instead, I've taken to using third-party apps to keep my head in the game.

Best Twitter apps for iPhone

Twitter has changed. It's no longer the domain of nerds and conferences but now serves the mainstream, not to mention pop stars with tens of millions of followers. Twitter's official app has changed with it, altering the way everything from the timeline to direct messages work and are surfaced. It's not what it once was, and its certainly not for everyone. For yet others, it's a network to expand their social connections and market their wares. Different apps suit different use-cases. So if you're only interested in the best iPhone apps where Twitter is concerned, these are the ones we'd recommend!

Burger King's new app will let you buy a Whopper with PayPal, not Apple Pay

Burger King shoppers might want to pay for their next Whopper with Apple Pay on their iPhones, but The King has different plans for them: their own app. Burger King and PayPal today unveiled a partnership that will see the Burger King iOS app updated to support making in-store payments via PayPal instead instead of using Apple's credit card-reliant system. Burger King hasn't made any official moves with their current Apple Pay-compatible NFC payment installations, but given the reaction towards MCX and CurrentC retailers shutting down Apple Pay, we hope they'd be hesitant about doing so.
