IFTTT goes mobile, wants to do your Internet heavy lifting for you

IFTTT (If This Then That) has been trying to automate your Internet life via the browser for a while now, but the service has finally gone mobile with the launch of their first app for iPhone. In addition to the ton of services that IFTTT already supports, bringing it to the iPhone opens up three new channels for users, by allowing integration with the iOS Reminders app, as well as Contacts and Photos.

Philips Hue offers iPhone controlled LED lighting for your home

World renowned electronics manufacturer Philips has announced today that it will be exclusively launching its “Hue” web-enabled lighting system through the Apple Store starting from tomorrow. The new system from Philips offers energy saving LED lights that can replace your existing bulbs and they can then be controlled from your iPhone or iPad.

iPad set to invade the home automation business, reduction in cost the driving factor!

A new model home in Overlook, Lone Tree’s Heritage Hills has been equipped with two iPads to enable the use of home control and automation. The iPads can control the homes lighting, motorised sun shades, multi-room music system, television and video systems, baby monitors and closed circuit security cameras.
