iCloud beta for developers back online, includes Notes and Reminders

A developer preview of iCloud, including the new Calendar, Notes, Reminders web apps, and Find my iPhone are once again online. They popped up briefly a while ago, only to quickly disappear, but this time they seem to be stable and in working order.

iCloud.com development site reveals Notes and Reminders web apps

Earlier today a beta version of iCloud.com accidentally leaked 2 new web apps, Notes and Reminders, presumably coming to iCloud web-portal. These apps make perfect sense to be on iCloud.com, as they already sync over iCloud across iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad devices, and Apple has added them as apps to the upcoming OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.

The Reminders and Notes web apps weren't functional, nor was the login, and Apple quickly pulled the developer site offline. In other words, we weren't supposed to see this yet.

Daily Tip: How to set your iPhone or iPad calendar entries for different time zones

Taking a trip and curious how to set your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad

The calendar app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch allows you to change the time zone for any event or meeting with just a few taps. Instead of trying to add and subtract time from your own time zone, just set those specific events or meetings for the time zone they're going to occur in.

Calendar will use whatever time zone your clock settings are set to by default. While this is fine in most scenarios, you also have the option of setting time zones on individual entries.

Vote now for iOS feature of the year [2011 TiPb Awards]

TiPb Awards: iOS feature of the year

iOS 5 is one of the biggest software updates Apple has ever released for their mobile operating system, with changes almost too many to enumerate (we've tried!).

Siri is the first step in taking the digital assistant out of sci-fi and into reality. iMessage bypasses the exorbitant carrier text charges and brings iOS users, all over the world, one step closer to BBM-like instant messaging. Notification Center finally brings iOS alerts out of the dark ages. Newsstand put most of our newspapers and magazines all in one place. PC-free along with Wi-Fi sync cuts the cord to iTunes and takes us to the iCloud, where all our data gets stored and pushed and backed up. Reminders brings task management to iOS. The camera app is now fast to access and faster to take shots with.

While there will always be features we wish for next time, from message previews to fast text response to themes to a whole lot more, this year, these are your choices.

Vote up top and tell us why you voted they way you did in the comments! These are your awards, so get to it!
