Apple Pay going online to buy all of the things

Alongside the NFC payments Apple just announced at its special event out in Cupertino, Apple Pay was also announced to be going online to help you buy things from your favorite retailers. It promises to offer one touch payments that you can authenticate on your phone using Touch ID, no need to enter any payment information or shipping information.
The retailer never actually gets your payment information with Apple Pay, so you're not sending your credit card information to anyone outside of your Apple Pay account.
It'll launch initially in the U.S. with Target, Groupon, Uber, Panera, MLB.com at Bat (buy tickets), Apple Store app, OpenTable (participating restaurants will take payment through the app), Sephora, Starbucks, Stables, Tickets.com all supporting Apple Pay payments.
