Pinterest snaps up the team behind keyboard app Fleksy

Pinterest has announced that it is acquiring the team behind third-party keyboard app Fleksy. Through the deal, Pinterest will acquire Fleksy's team, but not any of the technology behind the app itself.
From Fleksy:
Today we're announcing that the team behind smart keyboard app Fleksy is joining Pinterest. Fleksy founder and CEO Kosta Eleftheriou will join the product engineering team. While Pinterest is not acquiring the technology, the app will continue to run for the foreseeable future.
In a blog post announcing the move, Fleksy says that the app will remain available on the App Store. The team has also decided to open source some of the tech behind Fleksy components designed to assist the blind and visually impaired.
Financial terms of the deal weren't announced, but around ten people will be making the transition from Fleksy to Pinterest in the move.

Considering the fact that they make one of the only alternative keyboards to the stock keyboard that is accessible I am glad to see that it will live on even if only in an open source form. Sent from the iMore App
