Description: A very large, sea dwelling Pokémon, Lapras resembles a plesiosaur. It has smooth, blue skin with dark blue spots, and a cream colored underbelly. Its large, brown eyes are quite expressive and centered between them is a small horn. Tightly curled ears rest on either side of its head, and it has a long neck and four large flippers. Lapras also has a bumpy, grey shell which covers most of its back.
A gentle giant, Lapras are known for happily ferrying people and Pokémon aline across bodies of water, earning it the nickname Transport Pokémon. Unfortunately, this gentle nature made it an easy target for hunters who, in the past, nearly drove Lapras to extinction. In modern times, people have put protections on the species and, in some areas, have seen a boost in their number as a result. Lapras are extremely intelligent, able to understand human speech with ease. They are also a social species, traveling in large pods from the farthest reaches of the poles to the tropical areas around the equator. They communicate amongst one another by singing, and with humans using telepathy.
Capable of Gigantamaxing, Gigantamax Lapras grows to massive heights and its shell takes on a shape resembling a cruise ship. It gains spike around its shell and is surrounded by ice particles which resemble sheet music. In this form, Lapras is capable of carrying up to 5,000 people comfortably. Gigantamax Lapras uses the ice particle ring around it to break up icebergs, and clear obstacles from its path.

- Sword Pokédex: Over 5,000 people can ride on its shell at once. And it's a very comfortable ride, without the slightest shaking or swaying.
- Shield Pokédex: It surrounds itself with a huge ring of gathered ice particles. It uses the ring to smash any icebergs that might impede its graceful swimming.
