Rachio brings HomeKit support to its third-generation smart sprinkler controller

Being able to use Siri to control smart home gear is a huge plus, and now Rachio's 3rd-gen smart sprinkler controller has gained HomeKit support. We are big fans of Rachio's lineup and the latest generation of hardware that was released a few months ago brings some big improvements, but the addition of HomeKit support is a first here. This is now the first, and only, HomeKit enabled smart sprinkler controller on the market, making it a must-have for anyone who wants an easy way to keep their grass green.
You'll be able to use Siri on your iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, HomePod, and Apple Watch to start and stop your sprinklers. You'll be able to access the system from anywhere, so if you're on the way to work and realize you wanted to water the grass, a simple voice command is all you need to get it started.
Rachio's system has a higher upfront cost when compared to others like Orbit's B-Hyve and Rain Machine's Mini-8, but neither of these offer the same features. In addition to HomeKit support, the Rachio beats the competition in hyper-local forecasts, intelligence for automatic monthly adjustments, and more.
