Star Wars: Uprising will roleplay its way to fight the Empire this fall

As the entire world awaits the release of the seventh Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens, in December, developer Kabam has announced plans to launch a mobile role-playing game, Star Wars: Uprising. It will take place in between the events of the sixth and seventh movies. Due for release this fall for iOS and Android, Star Wars: Uprising will let players create their own character and have him or her take the fight to the Empire in "large-scale sector-wide battles". Here's some more info on the game:

Star Wars: Uprising will introduce a new chapter of the Star Wars universe that will illuminate dramatic events in the Anoat Sector, inclusive of Hoth and Cloud City, following the Battle of Endor and the death of the Emperor. Players will learn hundreds of abilities and collect iconic Star Wars gear to create their own takes on the next generation of heroes: Smuggler, Bounty Hunter, Rebel Guerilla, Diplomat, Gambler or something completely unique.

Interested players can pre-register for Star Wars: Uprising at the game's official website, and can also vote for putting in special in-game content before its release.
