Valve Corp. has released a new version of their Steam app for iOS. Steam is Valve's popular game download and matching service for Mac, Windows and Linux; there's a large online community of players on Steam, and using the Steam app for iOS, you can stay in touch with other users away from your computer. The app also provides you with gaming news and info on Steam's game sales.
New to the 1.3 release is a new look and feel, offline chat support and improved push notification and icon badging. Invites have been moved to a separate screen, and the interface for responding to invites has been streamlined. The app now displays friend nicknames. The app shows whether your friends are on mobile or using Steam's "Big Picture" mode, includes Facebook suggested friends in the invites list, and makes improvements to stability and performance.
