Marriott looking to bring Netflix, Hulu Plus and Pandora to your hotel room TV

Marriott is about to make your hotel stay much more rewarding. The hotel chain has confirmed to Bloomberg that it is testing a TV service that allows its guests to access streaming content from their own Netflix, Hulu Plus and Pandora accounts. The service is currently being trialled in eight hotels across the US.

Hulu Plus now lets you subscribe in the app, and Apple gets a cut of the fee

Hulu now finally lets users sign up for its paid Hulu Plus service inside its iPhone and iPad app, marking a truce between the media company and Apple over in-app billing. Prior to now, you had to sign up for Hulu Plus from the web and then sign into your premium account in the app, thus getting around Apple's policy of taking a percentage of all in-app billing activity.

Hulu Plus to offer select free viewing on mobile this summer

Previously bound to having a Hulu Plus subscription, Hulu this summer will be opening up their free streams to mobile users. As of right now, if you want to watch something that's streaming on Hulu on your mobile device, you'll need a Hulu Plus account — even if that show is free to stream through a desktop browser. Hulu CEO Mike Hopkins announced today that this summer that will change.

Hulu Plus for iPhone and iPad introduces Kids Lock

Hulu Plus for iPhone and iPad has been updated with a new Kids Lock features that limits the app to be safe and fun for kids. When enabled, only programming for children will be accessible and it'll all be ad-free. To exit out of this mode, you will be required to enter your Hulu password, so you can rest assured that your child will not be able to exit and watch shows and movies that are inappropriate for their age.

Updated: Roku [and TiVo] getting Hulu Plus, can Apple TV have it too?

Looks like Hulu Plus will be coming to Apple TV competitor Roku. There's already a Hulu Plus app for Apple's iPad, and while my deepest, darkest wish is that it will support AirPlay to beam content straight to Apple TV, past history (and its use of non-standard video controls) make me think it won't. And hey, even if by some miracle it does, just like Apple TV has built-in Netflix support, built-in support for Hulu Plus would be huge (no need to waste iPad resources and Wi-Fi bandwidth).
