You can now secure your Amazon account with two-factor authentication
A bit of extra security with two-factor authentication is never a bad thing when it comes to your online accounts, and it looks like you can now count Amazon as one of the latest companies to support the security measure. The company is now offering the option for users to turn on two-factor authentication, bringing an added layer of security for Amazon accounts.
According to Engadget, Amazon says that support for the security measure was added a couple of weeks ago following a private beta. You'll need to enable two-factor authentication in "Advanced Security Settings" on your account. Once enabled, you can use something like Google's Authenticator app to generate a code that you enter in addition to your password when logging in.
Overall, it's great to see more companies adding support for two-factor authentication, and especially for a company as large as Amazon.
