I enjoy following heroes episodes, it came from boring to a good tv series now. For the first few eps, I thought, its just an xmen . But now its fun to watch, hope new episoded will be released soon.

It is not so much an irresponsible comment as it is just a broken -- stupid is not too harsh a word -- analogy. Microsoft does not disallow PS3 games because of a policy restriction -- they "disallow" them because THEY DO NOT RUN ON THE XBOX. If High Impact ported Ratchet and Clank to run on the 360, Microsoft would happily allow them on board.

The analogy would not be Microsoft disallowing PS3 games on their XBox -- the analogy would be Microsoft disallowing first person shooters on the XBox360 to protect their Halo franchise. That sort of practice sounds absurd in the console arena, but somehow when Apple does it, it gets a pass.

I watched Yes Man on bluray yesterday at 1080p and it did not look that much clearer to me than Serenity in Hd on netflix, the over the air tv channels mostly news broadcast look better to me at 1080i than bluray does at 1080p, I'm not smoking anything.

I use my laptops bluray player connected to tv through hdmi cable, maybe that has something to do with it but it says it connects at 1080p. I'd rather just watch the hd streams if they were the plenty than deal with mailing moving back and fourth.

Only a person who hasn't watched many Blu-ray movies on a 1080p set would say something as asinine as that! I GUARANTEE you I can get ANY Blu-ray movie and play it on a good 1080p set and you can stream it through Netflix and the Blu-ray version will look better hands down!

What an irresponsible comment by the article. I love this site, but I find ignorance like this doesn't belong here. It's also a biased comment and doesn't belong in good journalism.

I also love my iPhone, but the iPhone is a tool, like any other. It's in the best interest of the consumer that you be able to get multiple sources of media. Yes apple does control it, and for now, they would have the right to block it, but that doesn't mean it's good for consumers to allow them to block it. If I chose to get media from elsewhere other than the iTunes store, I should be allowed to. The Mac isn't locked into only iTunes, is it?

As a loyal netflix customer I hope it does come to iPhone, as it will give me so many more options to watch movies that I have rightfully paid the service to view.

I just signed up for Netflix over the weekend, can't beat 8.99 for unlimited streaming movies. Some of the HD streaming Netflix movies look better than bluray to me. All n all it's cheaper than cable, I watched like 6 movies in two days. I don't get my hopes up anymore when it comes to apple inc. Even tho I've never purchased or rented a movie from apple inc. and never will I can see why they wouldn't want this on the iphone, it's all good in war right.

@Al don't think they would replace YouTube with hulu or with netflix. If they got rid of all the google services on the iPhone they would have to get rid of maps, weather, and stocks.

I've been waiting for this for awhile now. If the iPhone could get this and Hulu available for streaming over 3G it would change everything! Maybe since Apple is fighting Google right now, they will include a Hulu app with the next iPhone firmware as a replacement for the YouTube app which I very rarely use. I love streaming Netflix over my 360, iPhone needs to be next!

Actually I stream on my htc fuze using tether hack. Buffer was fine no waiting to rebuffer. And I'd they do restrict to wifi I can use my jailbreak to trick that app to thinking it's on 3G network. As for it being an app hmmm I don't know if apple will allow it. But I would rather pay a monthly fee off 9.99 for netflicks where I can rent DVDs and stream movies instantly then be stuck to just my iPhone. Also think they should look to by pass the app store by making it a web app.

Judging based on your music I can see that really being Soulja Boy.

Anyway, it's almost guarnateed this will be wifi only. I don't have a problem with that but it's whatever. Unless this goddamn app is rejected for duplicating functionallity. In which case I will be selling my iPhone and picking up a Pre. Promise.

I'm really waiting for a Hulu app.
