Rumor: Foxconn to Produce 300,000 Apple iTablets for Q1

Foxconn is rumored to be producing 300,000 - 400,000 of the much hyped, still fabled Apple iTablet for introduction sometime in Q1 of 2010 says DigiTimes. This, of course, is the next stage of any good Apple rumor evolution, after specs and before random case leaks...
10.6 inch screen from Innolux Display, focus on digital print like e-books, good battery life, killer UI, etc. are all mentioned as well.
Now we just need Steve Jobs to say something dismissive like "people don't read"... Oh, wait...
iPhone 4.0 SDK Sneak Preview event should be held March 2010. Might we have an earlier event to look forward to now as well, the iTablet Introduction?

If they announce the " iTablet " in Q1, as they usually do the new iPhone OS, wouldn't that conflict with the release in Q2 as well. They would have a brand new product and the fourth irriteration of the iPhone comin out around the same time.
I just think they'll mess things up for the iPhone if they announce it now and release it in the same time frame as they would the iPhone hardware. They shouldn't even mention it at least untill they do the Mac stuff in August.
Finally, an e-book tablet! Gee, that's swell!
@Keino:
I don't see new hardware for the iphone next year. Maybe a new OS version. It seems like Apple likes to run phone hardware for two years before iterations.
Since OS work is done in the US, it won't interfere with Foxconn making the tablet, and 300k is a tiny number.
So far, no window diving in China.
@icebike
huh? each year new phone hardware has come out. 2g, 3g (new insides and design) and 3gs (new insides, same design) so they may keep the same design next year, but your almost guaranteed to have new insides every year along with an updated OS. question is at what point will they charge iPhone customers to upgrade. I know they typically don't because we pay a fee every month for our phones, but it wouldn't suprise me to see it happen in the near future.
New form is needed, front facing camera(iChat ),5.0 camera
How can this be considered an e-reader competitor of they don't have any type of digital media? Are they going to parter with Borders? The Kindle has Amazon (obviously) and Sony has their Sony Store, even Barnes & Noble has an e-reader.
Unless they just have it run the Kindle app like they do on the iPhone.
I'm kind of tired of all this tablet rumor. It's all recycled news over and over again.
Im like the 50+ pictures out there that get posted everytime something about the tablet is mentioned. Even though no one knows what it looks like.
ITablet 3 or 4G built-in modem with Sprint or Verizon data subscription iPod Touch with WiFi link to iTablet for VoIp (Skype or Google Voice or.,) = AT&T alternative! Imagine the iTablet running OS X, iLife Lite, iWorks Tablet version and ALL iPhone/iPod Touch apps. Linked with iPod Touch and/ or iPhone and/ or your MacBook and/ or your iMac via WiFi or Bluetooth or whatever... Are you seeing visions?
