Could someone clear something up for me? I thought the 8GB iPod Touch was 2nd gen only. If you do a search on Amazon, they are selling a 3rd gen 8GB iPod Touch for $181.99.
Apple calls it 3rd generation now but its still a repackaged 2nd generation 8gb ipod touch. Nothing was changed for hardware. Just the software update.
Kind of misleading for Apple or perhaps amazon to even market an 8gb ipod touch with “third generation” written anywhere near it. Same ipod as last year.
@cardfan- Thanks! That’s what I thought but even wiki lists a 3rd gen Touch. I’m going to grab one of these off Amazon and tell my son it’s a 3rd generation- LOL.
Third gen only means it comes with software 3.1 out of the box, otherwise same iPod touch
