UPDATE: It's back! Apple online order status down
UPDATE: Order status is back, do you see any differences?
ORIGINAL: If you have an iPad, iPod touch, or anything else, on order from Apple and want to check the status online, we have some bad news for you -- Apple has take their online order status down for the day.
My iPad 3G order, for example, just says Apple is updating their system and I can come back Sunday, May 16th.

Got an email ad from AT&T to add a second iPhone for a family member. Is this a sign of depleting current inventory in advance of next month's new hardware? Strangely, the ad didn't overtly mention any discounted pricing. Anyhow, thought the ad was interesting in light of your mention of the site being down.
I'm scared.

I ordered my 3G iPad over a week ago. Friday morning it said "Preparing to ship", but shortly after that (when I was trying to find the tracking number to see when my life will change), it had this crap about waiting until the 16th to do what we already could do... come on Apple - stop jerkin up the works. Ever hear of a test system vs production system?! SHEESH...
I'm with the author on this one - I know how the rest of you feel about this being down and its no big deal... but if you had an order that possible has already shipped and you want that tracking number to know which days to request off of work, well.. this is disappointing to no end.
LOL...As if a company like Apple will s*** you out of your iPad or iPod or whatever. They made it Sunday, since no order will ship on that day anyway, so I think you'll make it through these trying hours.

Um okay so what is going to be new in software for the new iPhone 4th generation iPhone ? I mean it will be something new that's not available on the 3gs as far as software goes
