It's OK, Sir Jony Ive still works at Apple!

Sir Jony Ive - he's a Knight, don't forget! – did disappear from Apple's executive bio page this morning, but don't worry, he still works there. He's back on the top line, and presumably whoever accidentally deleted him either feels really dumb or has since been fired. It also didn't happen everywhere, in the UK he was present the whole time.

If Ive had left Apple, this probably isn't the way it would have been announced. But he hasn't. He's still there, and will continue to design killer products!

When did his name disappear?

iSRS says:

He was, briefly, not appearing on the page shown above this morning. (http://apple.com/pr/bios) Created quite a stir on another Apple blog. His bio page was, however, still present, just not shown on the page.

BongBongOnTwitter says:

I believe the crummy sites in question were either AppleInsider or MacRumors. AppleInsider especially annoys with their clickbait.

rogifan says:

MacRumors is just as bad.

Becjr says:

I never frequent such pages often enough to have noticed this event ever happening. It's good there are people who stay on top of these things!
:D

I always wonder how people find this stuff. I consider myself in the realm of a "fanboy" but then stuff like this comes out and I realize I am just an enthusiast. Some people have way too much time on their hands.

(Though I can not confirm, nor deny, having posted to such discussions)

How would someone even notice that he was "briefly" missing from the page? Who has time to visit the page that often?

Company bio pics are kinda douchey. His looks to be douchey more so than his coworkers. Who would believe anything out up by a PR machine?

Could you please just report on real stories and not insignificant crap like this?! It's like the bloggers have a quota on story postings per day no matter how irrelevant.

Richard Devine says:

Considering the amount of "ZOMG HAS JONY IVE LEFT APPLE?!?!" stories about when I woke up this morning, I'd consider this most definitely "real"

drokssilva says:

Yeah. Im glad you waited to post.

Wow! That wouldn't have been good. I like apple products because of the design and the intuitiveness if the products.

Phew!!! That would have been devastating to have Jony leave.
