Steve Jobs biography arriving Oct. 24

Steve Jobs, the eponymous biography of Apple's late co-founder penned by Walter Isaacson, has been moved up and will now arrive on shelves real and virtual on Oct. 24. What's more:

According to a person familiar with the matter, Isaacson last interviewed Jobs four weeks ago, right before, and right after he stepped down from his post as the CEO of Apple. Jobs indicated at that time that he knew he was going to die soon. The scene will appear at the end of the book.

Needless to say, pre-orders are topping the charts.

Duh says:

It's not an autobiography since it was not written by Steve himself.

Jeremy M says:

you are an idiot, do you know anything about literature....

That didnt take long...

BillyB4 says:

Yeah, I'll be getting the Kindle copy too. That's basically the only way I read books now. The future without Steve Jobs in it. That doesn't even sound right. He will be missed.

wow, i was actually curious about this biography since he was still alive, which rarely happens, sadly he's dead, i think the hole he has left in my life is going to be filled with all the details from his life by buying this book. ive never cared for a celebrity but hes just too much.

Redshirt says:

Definitely ordering the book. Planning on getting the hard copy for the coffee table (636 pages is pretty beefy). Not sure on the electronic copy though, depends on how the hard copy turns out (supposed to be family pictures in it).
I liked a quote from the author:
'I asked the one question that was still puzzling me: Why had he been so eager, during close to 50 interviews and conversations over the course of two years, to open up so much for a book when he was usually so private? “I wanted my kids to know me,” he said. “I wasn’t always there for them, and I wanted them to know why and to understand what I did.”'
