Apple partners with China Telecom for iCloud data storage

Apple has partnered with China Telecom to store the iCloud data of customers in China. This is part of Apple's efforts to asuage the concerns raised by China over data security. The company is Apple's sole partner for iCloud data storage in China for now. Apple says that China Telecom won't have access to its data, according to the Wall Street Journal:

But the company said Friday in a statement to The Wall Street Journal that all data stored is encrypted, meaning China Telecom won't have access to its content.
