Apple seeds iOS 8.1 beta 2, developers, go get it!

Apple has released iOS 8.1 beta 2 to developers. The update is available through the Apple Developer Center, as well as over the air on devices running the first beta of iOS 8.1. The first beta of iOS 8.1 was seeded just over a week ago.

To update over the air, go to Settings > General > Software Update and selecte Download and Install. The only notes for the beta is that it contains bug fixes and improvements.

  • Note also available: Xcode 6.1 GM seed 2.
  • I wonder what's new or which bug fixes have been fixed.
  • I wonder if they'll be a GM Seed of 8. 1 before the release date or if the GM will be skiped, would be nice to get a GM Seed to be able to skip the nightmare of having to do an update of release day. Sent from the iMore App
  • Strange it's already 8.1 , it took 7.1 several months to release, right? That was a big update. Not that the numbers really matter but I expect 8.1 to be as close to perfect as possible. Sent from the iMore App
  • I think it's because this will enable Apple pay and Apple wants that out as soon as possible, while also fixing many of the bugs iOS 8 has Sent from the iMore App
  • I hear this fixes the nasty 5ghz Wi-Fi bug which cripples iPads running iOS 8. A public release of this cannot come soon enough.
  • I think it's because the adoption rate for 8.1 upgrades are low and they want more people to download it, thinking all the bugs are worked out. Sent from the iMore App
  • I hope it fixes keyboards not being launched iphone freezing and crashing apps. I really miss iOS 6 Sent from the iMore App
