Apple has sent out invitations for a special event taking place October 16, 2014 at 10:00 AM PT. This is widely expected to be the reveal of new iPads and Macs. A launch date for OS X Yosemite is also expected. The invitation has a partial colorful Apple logo, along with the phrase "It's been way too long".
The event will be held at Apple's campus in Cupertino. Recent reporting suggests that a Retina iMac may make an appearance, though if it will launch soon after is unknown. Touch ID is also expected to makes its way to the new iPads.
