Apple teases all of its big updates with new preview sites

Apple has posted its preview sites for its incoming updates: iOS 10, macOS Sierra, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10. Each page offers details on its respective update, previewing the biggest changes for customers. The company also has a preview page for Swift Playgrounds.

You'll find the new pages right here:

Of course, customers will be able to get their hands on all of these updates when they launch this fall. They are currently in developer beta, with public betas for iOS 10 and macOS coming at some point in July.

  • I was hoping with this refresh that Siri would give you the option to type rather than just speak. That must be extremely difficult to implement. Maybe next year...
  • Siri is a voice assistant. I dont understand the need to have type features included. You can just type what you want giving it to Siri is going backwards
  • If you have only ever used Siri, your lack of understanding the usefulness of this feature is pardonable. With all of the future deep integration via APIs, the ability to type commands, rather than just speak them becomes more of a requirement, in my opinion. Talk to anyone who has ever used Cortana and you will begin to understand.
  • Yup, I type a lot of my Cortana commands on my PC.
  • Soooo, I can write iMessages on my iPhone? Sooooo, pencil will work on new iPhone? I'm sold.
  • My biggest question is will the wake lock work on the 6 and 6Ss. That's one of my favorite features to see manufacturers put into phones these days. Sent from the iMore App
  • Fix the constant on, and off again iCloud. Every iOS since iCloud was formed has this problem. Tired of getting "the last backup could not be completed." It was working in April. I do not want to reset the phone again, and the pain of entering passwords. I have done everything else. I got it to work in April by a reset. May be there is a fix in iOS 10. Looking forward to new things. Sent from the iMore App
