Berkshire Hathaway discloses nearly 10 million shares in Apple

Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffett's hedge fund, disclosed a stake in Apple to the tune of 9.81 million shares as of March 31. The discovered SEC filing revealed that the billionaire picked up the shares, valued at $1.07 billion, in the first quarter of 2016.

It's an interesting move considering Buffett has long been a skeptic of Apple and technology investments as a whole. In light of the purchase Apple's stocks rose 2.2 percent to $92.50 in early trading after Berkshire disclosed the holding.
