Charity auction for lunch with Tim Cook raises $515,000
By Dan Thorp-Lancaster published

This year's charity auction for lunch with Tim Cook has ended, raising over half a million dollars for the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights center. The auction kicked off in April, offering the winner a chance to grab lunch with Tim Cook at Apple's Cupertino, California campus. The winning bidder will also snag two VIP tickets to an upcoming Apple keynote.
In total, the auction raised $515,000 (via 9to5Mac), handily beating out the totals from the most recent two auctions. In 2015 for example, the auction brought in a total of $200,000, while 2014 saw the winning bid tally $330,000. 2013's auction, however, still takes the cake with a $610,000 winning bid.
